Get Involved

Stay connected to Cal Poly, meet other local alumni, and hear about upcoming events from San Jose to San Francisco. We are a volunteer based group that strives to enhance the alumni network in the Bay Area by creating events that appeal to a multi-generation alumni base. Whether you are GOLD (Graduate of Last Decade) looking to reconnect with fellow alumni at a happy hour or a graduate in mid career looking to enhance your  business connections we seek to be that avenue.

All of the events are volunteer supported as we are a registered 503c Non-Profit and an extension of California Polytechnic Alumni Association.

How to get involved?

It is pretty simple! There are basically 3 levels of commitment that you can come in and out of through out the year… remember this is supposed to be fun and volunteer based!

Event Manager: If you are looking at just assisting in volunteering at a specific event we always need the help. See which event on our calendar fits your liking and calendar and make sure to reach out to us. Commitment typically is just a couple of hours before and after the event is scheduled for.

Event Director: A bit more of a commitment and planning goes into to putting on an event .. but not as much as you think. We have several events that we are always looking for people to assist with; check out our calendar and let us know which one you would like to join. Or do you have a an event that you would like to bring to the schedule? Awesome! Typically an event takes about 2-3 months of pre-planning to get all the resources in line and only about 15 hours of commitment. This is great for alumni who want to commit but only for a brief time….

Board Member: If you are looking trying to make a large impact in the overall direction of our local chapter this we have several roles that need assistance with. These are typically 6-12 month commitment that involved the following:

Quarterly Board Meeting
Board Role Responsibilities
Open Mind and Get’er Dun Attitude
